Luca Chicos
/Luca Chicoș earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2024 in the interdisciplinary field of Nanobiology, a joint programme at the Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Medical Centre in Rotterdam, Netherlands. His Bachelor’s thesis focused on exploring and characterising liquid-liquid phase separation of the lipid bilayer, both in 2D supported lipid bilayers and 3D giant unilamellar vesicles. At present, he is a member of the Max Planck School of Matter to Life, following the biophysics track. As part of the lab rotation, Luca joined the Zwicker group to model active droplet nucleation based on a fuel-driven chemical reaction cycle, following the experimental results obtained from his work in the BoekhovenLab.
